Sports Beijing is very pleased to be continuing our partnership with the Beijing Riviera Golf Center and to be joining forces with the first PGA Golf Academy in Asia located at Bayhood No.9 to offer professional instruction to players of all levels.

This program is for players just starting out that may have had a few lessons and also those that have never before picked up a golf club. The program teaches the basics of a proper grip and swing and introduces the long game, short game, chipping and putting. The first 12 lessons are at the Riviera Golf Center and the last 4 lessons move to the PGA Academy where the putting green, short game and practice holes will simulate actual course play.

Schedule: 4:30-6:00pm every Monday & Wednesday - April 7 to June 4 -- twice each week
(No classes on April 28 & April 30) -- Total 16 Lessons / 24 hours instruction.

Venues: Riviera Golf Center -- First 12 Lessons - April 7 - May 23
Bayhood No.9 PGA Academy -- Last 4 Lessons - May 26 - June 4

This program is for players that have already had some golfing lessons and possibly played several times on a golf course. The program focuses on improving the player's shot making consistency by reinforcing the basics of a proper grip and swing using the latest technology and teaching aids at the Bayhood No.9 PGA Golf Academy. Players are also introduced to techniques when hitting from an uneven lie, hitting out of bunkers, chipping and putting. Actual course play is simulated using the Academy practice holes, short game, and putting green facilities.

Ages:           7 - 18 years old.

Dates: 4:30-6:00pm every Tuesday & Thursday - April 8 to June 5 -- twice each week
(No classes on April 29 & May 1) -- Total 16 Lessons / 24 hours instruction.

These lessons are for players that already have an established handicap or that have played numerous rounds of golf. Players without a handicap will be evaluated by the coach the first lesson and depending on this assessment may be asked to move to the intermediate group. The rules and etiquette of golf are stressed as the program focuses on preparing players for tournament competition. Using the latest technology and teaching aids, the coach will evaluate, balance and strengthen the players' swing to improve shot making accuracy from the tee to the cup in a variety of situations that simulate course play. Training sessions consist of 1.5 hrs of group instruction followed by 1/2 hr individual practice to review what has been learnt. In addition three 9 hole games, with the coach accompanying the group the entire time, will be played at local courses and the scores recorded.   Please note that green fees for the 9 hole games are not included in the program fee and must be paid by each player on the day of the game at the respective golf course.

Ages:           12 - 18 years old. (Younger players may be accepted at the discretion of the
                     coach depending on the players ability)

Dates: Every Wednesday & Sunday - April 9 to June 8 -- twice each week
(No classes on April 30 & May 4) -- Total 16 Lessons / 24 hours instruction.

Schedule:     Wednesdays - 4:30-6:00pm Group Instruction / 6:00-6:30pm Individual Practice
                     Sundays - 3:30-5:00pm Group Instruction / 5:00-5:30pm Individual Practice

                     Game Dates: Fridays -- April 25, May 16, June 13

                     (Green fees not included in the program fee shown below)

Notes: --Each program needs a minimum of 5 players and can accept a maximum of 8 players.
--Players in the Intermediate and Elite Programs receive a DVD analysis of their golf swing.
