Sports Beijing  "Schools Back from SUMMER" Camps ...

                                            

This year as the expatriate community returns to Beijing from the summer holidays, Sports Beijing is working with WABX and the JUMP FOUNDATION to offer a selection of  "Schools Back from SUMMER" Camps for young adults aged 13 to 18 years old.  A description of the "Schools Back from SUMMER" camp programs follows:

WABX & Sports Beijing "Sports Excellence Program"
The "Sports Excellence Program" combines best practices in team building, sports training, and physical conditioning to give all athletes the skills, knowledge and discipline to develop into the best they can be at their chosen sports.  Players select a core sports module for the week from the Volleyball, Rugby, Basketball and Soccer offerings.  Alternatively players can choose to attend the fitness only sessions for each sport module to focus on improving their overall fitness level, regardless of their specific sports interest.

International level coaches in these sporting disciplines lead the players in their selected core sports modules through a daily curriculum that teaches and reinforces fundamental skills and introduces advanced skills; increases knowledge of the sport; and embodies teamwork to build excellence. The fitness modules for each sport are led by fitness professionals from OZONE FITNESS, Beijing's largest North American Fitness Franchise.

Sport Modules:
Volleyball -- Bump,Set and Spike!! Learn correct techniques from digging, setting and spiking. Let the conditioning improve your vertical leap and power. Understand the importance of positioning, movement and teamwork in volleyball excellence. You will be pushed and your ability will leap!

Rugby -- Dig down deep and get fit with the Rugby squad.? Build core strength and explosive power. Learn about team tactics from some of Beijing's best players and rugby enthusiasts.

Basketball -- Passing, dribbling, layups, jump shots, three pointers бн condition yourself to play your best individually and gain insights on how to become a more complete team player. Basketball conditioning focuses on endurance, jump and reach, and coordination.

Soccer -- Ball handling, passing, dribbling skills and tricks, shooting, heading бн fine tune your skills and learn more about team strategy and tactics. The soccer conditioning will focus on speed, agility and quickness.

Conditioning Program -- These programs focus on strength and conditioning geared toward each specific sports.

On the registration form please select one sports module for each week you will attend. Alternatively you can choose to take the "Fitness Only" sessions for each sport -- joining the morning or afternoon or both the morning and afternoon fitness sessions.

 

Jump! Athlete Navigator
The "Jump! Athlete Navigator" program provides an athlete a series of team and individual challenges to encourage problem solving, develop teamwork, and enhance leadership development. Team and individual challenges are presented through various activities that promote interaction among team members; that require individual action; and that involve decision making. An example of one activity is having teams of two lead each other through an obstacle course where one member of the team is blindfolded and no verbal communication between team members can occur.

Please note that the Jump! Athlete Navigator program is offered the week of August 10-14 from 8:00-9:45am. You must attend the entire week. This progam is not offered on a daily basis.

Students should bring the following:

1) Lunches and Snacks (Sandwiches will also be available for purchase)
2) Water Bottle
3) Sun Screen
4) Indoor and Outdoor Sport Shoes
5) Two (2) sets of sport clothes
6) Any medication and support wraps.
7) Towel
9) Shower Gels

2) Email back to Sports Beijing to info@sportsbj.com and service@sportsbj.com

3) Come to the Sports Beijing to pay the fee. Please call us at 5838-5388 or visit www.sportsbj.com before coming to pay the fee. We will be moving offices in July and will keep you informed of our new location.

4) Please confirm you reservations by July 27th. No spaces will be held without full payment. Spaces are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.
