The Sports Beijing House League Program is for all ice hockey players that can already skate and know the basics of handling a hockey stick. Players are grouped by age, ability and size and then meet one weekday and once on the weekend for practices and games. All of these League Programs need the help of volunteer parent ice hockey coaches and teams managers. Mytes House League Program:

The Mytes House League is a recreational program for the youngest hockey players. This program uses a variety of fun drills to keep players motivated while progressively teaching new hockey skills and reinforcing the skills already learned. The weekday sessions usually focus on skating and skill development, while the weekend sessions let the players put it all together during scrimmages and games. This program needs the support of parent coaches and team managers.?

Bantam House League Program:

The Bantam House League is a recreational league that meets twice each week on a full sized rink. Players are placed on balanced teams of 10 to 12 players according to age and ability. Teams have a combination of practice sessions and games each week.? Practices focus on physical conditioning to build endurance, reinforcing fundamental and teaching advanced skating and hockey skills. We have been very fortunate having a group of dedicated volunteer parents in this program and urge new comers to get involved. With support from the Bantam parents, we will also endeavor to coordinate opportunities to send select teams to regional and international tournaments and friendly games. The practice, game, and tournament fees for select teams would be in addition to the fees shown below.

Tykes, Atoms, Peewees House League Program:

The House League program for the Tykes, Atom, and Peewee players incorporates a weekday 3x3 League and a weekend Full Ice League to provide a variety of training and competition to develop all around hockey players.  In the 3x3 League players are grouped into teams of 6 to 8 players plus a goalie.  The game is played on smaller ice with each team skating a 3-player line.  This format gives every player more chances to handle the puck, take more shots, and develop both offense and defensive skills. Each weekday session consists of about 40 minutes of skill development training led by a qualified coach followed by about 40 minutes of 3x3 League Games.  All teams must a have a parent team manager at the game to manage the substitution of the skaters during the game … as team manager you don't need to skate, you just need to keep time and change the lines.  The more team managers, the easier scheduling will be for everyone …so please volunteer as a 3x3 team manager.  On the weekends, the players move to the big rink for the Full Ice League.  In the Full Ice League, players train for about 30 minutes and then scrimmage for the remaining time.  The program focuses on reinforcing hockey skills learned in the weekday session and teaching positioning and tactics to play full ice hockey.  The Full Ice League needs the help from volunteer parent coaches to run drill stations during the practice session and manage the teams during the games.

Following the registration, each 3x3 league team will be assigned an approximately 80 minute session between the times shown. 
The schedules shown are subject to change depending on the number of players registered.

Registration priority is given to players that register for the entire house league that includes both the Weekday 3x3 League and the Weekend Full Ice League.? Players wanting to play in only the Weekday 3x3 League OR the Weekend Full Ice League, should contact Sports Beijing.
